Flower Rill is a seasonal wedding floral design studio based in Monroe, Michigan, serving weddings throughout Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio, including the Toledo area.

Once your wedding date and venue are confirmed, it is a good time to inquire. For full-service weddings, 9–15 months in advance is a useful guideline, particularly for dates during popular wedding months.

If your wedding is closer than that, please still inquire. Availability may exist.

Because Flower Rill operates seasonally and intentionally accepts a limited number of full-service weddings, availability depends on both the date and the scope of the event.

Travel and venue-specific logistics are considered as part of the individual wedding proposal.

Full-service wedding floral design begins at $5,000.

Each wedding is priced according to its actual scope. Investment is affected by factors such as the number and scale of floral pieces, flower selections, design complexity, installation requirements, mechanics, labor, and wedding-day logistics.

The $5,000 minimum does not mean every available service is included at that investment. Your proposal will clearly outline the floral work and services planned for your wedding before you book.

Full service is for weddings where Flower Rill is managing the floral plan beyond the individual arrangements themselves.

Depending on the wedding, full service can include bridal and personal flowers, ceremony flowers, reception flowers, statement floral pieces, installations, delivery, setup, on-site styling, floral transitions or repurposing when appropriate, and breakdown when required.

The exact scope depends on your wedding and is defined in your proposal.

À la carte is a pickup-only service for couples who want professionally designed Flower Rill wedding flowers without full-service delivery and installation.

À la carte can include transportable pieces such as bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, personal flowers, centerpieces, and other designs appropriate for pickup.

Large installations and floral work requiring professional on-site mechanics, setup, or installation are available through full service only.

The first step is to inquire with your wedding date, venue, and any information you already have about your floral needs.

From there, we can discuss your priorities, colors, preferences, dislikes, venue, floral scope, and the areas where flowers matter most to you. A proposal can then be developed around the direction and services discussed.

For a full-service wedding, your date is officially reserved only after Flower Rill receives both:

1. A signed contract
2. A non-refundable booking retainer

The booking retainer is based on the total floral investment:

• Weddings totaling $5,000 through $10,000: $750
• Weddings totaling over $10,000: $1,000
• For weddings above Flower Rill’s higher-investment threshold, the booking retainer is 30% of the total

Your booking retainer is applied toward your final wedding balance. It is not an additional fee.

The remaining balance is due in full 30 days before your wedding date.

An inquiry does not reserve a date. A consultation does not reserve a date. A proposal or verbal commitment does not reserve a date.

Until both the signed contract and booking retainer are received, the date remains available.

You do not need to know flower names, bouquet terminology, or exactly what every arrangement should look like.

You can come with colors you are drawn to, colors you dislike, flowers you love or do not want, reference images, priorities for the wedding, or simply a general sense of what you respond to visually.

Your input matters.

My role as your floral designer is to interpret that information and make informed decisions about flower varieties, color relationships, scale, proportion, texture, movement, mechanics, and composition.

You should understand the direction of your flowers and feel confident in the decisions being made without needing to become an expert in floral design yourself.

I look at the wedding as a complete visual composition rather than a list of unrelated arrangements.

The venue, architecture, colors, clothing, table design, ceremony setting, room proportions, photography, and floral priorities all influence the direction.

I consider how the flowers relate from one part of the wedding to another: where repetition creates continuity, where contrast adds interest, how much scale a space can support, where negative space is important, and where flowers will create the strongest visual impact.

Reference images are useful because they can reveal preferences in color, shape, proportion, movement, or mood. They are not treated as formulas that need to be copied.

The purpose of the design process is to understand what you respond to and translate that information into a floral plan that makes sense for your wedding.

Absolutely.

You are welcome to tell me which flowers you love and which you would prefer not to use.

Specific varieties cannot always be guaranteed. Floral availability changes from season to season and can also shift within the professional flower market from week to week.

If a requested flower is unavailable or the available product does not meet the quality needed for the design, I select an alternative with the intended result in mind.

The goal is to protect the important qualities of the floral direction— color, movement, form, texture, proportion, and composition— rather than making a literal one-for-one substitution that weakens the finished work.

Flower Rill uses exceptional flowers sourced through trusted growers and wholesalers as well as specialty seasonal material grown specifically for its work. The source matters when it gives me access to the right material; the priority is always what best serves the design.

Wedding details often become clearer as planning progresses.

If your quantities, priorities, venue details, or floral needs change, those changes should be communicated as early as possible so their effect on the design and overall scope can be considered.

Whether a particular change can be accommodated will depend on its timing, flower availability, mechanics, labor, and the work already being planned for the wedding.

The goal is to keep the floral plan clear and cohesive as the event develops rather than making isolated changes that no longer work with the overall design.

For full-service weddings, Flower Rill manages the floral delivery, setup, installation, and on-site styling included in your proposal.

That means the floral work is considered not only from a design standpoint, but also in terms of scale, mechanics, venue conditions, timing, placement, and how each piece needs to function on the wedding day.

When appropriate, ceremony flowers may also be transitioned or repurposed elsewhere during the event.

Not every arrangement can—or should—be moved. Whether repurposing makes sense depends on the construction of the piece, its size and mechanics, the wedding timeline, venue access, and whether moving it will preserve the quality and appearance of the flowers.

When repurposing is appropriate, it is planned as part of the floral logistics rather than assumed automatically.

Breakdown can also be included when the wedding requires it.

For à la carte weddings, flowers are pickup only. Delivery, on-site installation, floral transitions, and breakdown are not included.
